Outfitted with a Class-A, discrete, transformerless preamplifier, the VP82 delivers a clean and quick transient response with minimal harmonic/intermodulation distortion and no crossover distortion. Since it has a standard XLR 3-pin output and supports 11 to 52 VDC phantom powering, the microphone is a great match for professional camcorders, multitrack field recorders, and portable handheld audio recorders.

Its durable aircraft-grade aluminum alloy housing features no switches, buttons, or dials, ensuring easy operation for users of any experience level. The satin black finish impedes reflections so you won’t catch light bouncing off the mic into the shot. The supplied foam windscreen is designed to provide moderate attenuation of wind noise from light breezes, fans, and HVAC systems.
